Our goal is to make it easier for homeschoolers in Europe to find each other. In order to do this we created a Discord server where you can speak to, text and find one another.
How it works
When you first join the server you can select what country you are from, you are (based on your input) given a role of your country.
After that you can select the languages you speak, a role will be assigned for those as well.
Finally you can select the gaming platforms you play on: Xbox, Playstation and/or PC. Once again will a role be given according to your choice(s).
That’s it! Now you can explore the server! The main language of the server is English but your own can be chosen using the explanation below.
The EHF Discord server
After following the instructions above you can read the rules, or you can go straight into the action!
The “homeschooling” category mainly has news about homeschooling and unschooling and has a channel called travel-europe where you can talk about traveling through Europe.
The “General” category has the main server chat and the main chat for each individual gaming platform (should you game). It also has a nice “free games” channel for updates on game giveaways from game stores online.
In “Educational resources” you can find videos, blogs, posts and webinars about all sorts of things.
Finally you have the categories of the languages you speak.
Like explained earlier, by choosing your language you are assigned a role corresponding to that language. This role gives you access to the category corresponding to the language. In this category you can speak your chosen language with others!
Each language category also has it’s own main, Xbox, Playstation and PC chats.
Finding people
After setting up your profile on the server, you can send a message in one of the text channels to let people know you want to talk or game.
Support and Security
There are admins and moderators in order to keep it all in check, if you feel something is off, please immediately inform one of the mods to help. People getting hurt or upset is the last thing we want.
